Quamby Studios was founded by siblings Luke Chaplain and Madeleine Chaplain in 2022. Originally from a cattle station in northwest Queensland, both Luke and Maddie have a deep love for the Australian outback as well as a relentless ambition to become renowned filmmakers. Therefore it was perfectly fitting that their first film project ‘The Bank Manager’ was shot in outback Queensland.

‘The Bank Manager’ short film was selected for six festivals - including Flickerfest and St Kilda Film Festival - and was nominated for a Screen Producers Australia Award. Their second project, ‘Little Addy’, also screen at Academy Awards-qualifying St Kilda Film Festival, as well as winning two awards at the Australian Independent Film Festival.

Luke and Maddie recently welcomed Trevor Love to the Quamby Studios team. Trevor brings 38 years of experience in project management, finance strategy and risk evaluation, as Quamby Studios strives towards becoming a long-lasting profitable enterprise.
